At the North Unit Irrigation District Board of Directors regular meeting on May 13, the decision was made to increase allotments by .20 for Deschutes River and .10 for Crooked River.

After input from NUID water master Dennis Krueger on reservoir levels and the acknowledgement of recent snowfall in the Cascades, the board voted to increase the patron allotment.

The beginning season water allotment set March 25 had been 1.5 acre-feet per acre from the Deschutes and .75 acre-feet per acre from the Crooked River, which will now bring the totals to: 1.7 Deschutes and .85 for Crooked River. This will be the highest allotment since 2018.
