A state best 4A triple jump of the season for Addy Adams and two wins by distance ace Emily Picard were among several Madras highlights of the Tri-Valley Conference Championships track and field meet in Prineville May 21-22.
Adams went 37-10.35 to win by more than three feet over Magdalen Gehred of Estacada, and it’s a mark that re-established Adams with the longest 4A triple of the season heading into next week’s state meet at Hayward Field in Eugene. It’s also a school record mark.
Adams was second in the long jump to Molalla’s Peyton Craven. Craven went 17-9 and Adams 17-3.25.
Picard, a senior, dominated the 1,500 early in Thursday’s second day then then did the same to cap the meet in the 3,000.
